$100,000 of Deepgram credit is roughly 22,000 hours of voice agent conversation at list price, and the $1,000 starter is roughly 220. Both are real runway for a voice product. Which one lands in your account depends mostly on two fields in the application form.

Deal at a glance

Programme Deepgram for Startups. One application, and the credits cover speech-to-text, text-to-speech & the Voice Agent API from a single balance
Starter offer $1,000 in credits for a direct applicant, which is the floor Deepgram publishes in its own programme FAQ
Higher tiers Up to $100,000 over 12 months. Deepgram decides the tier from your stage, your planned usage & whether a partner referred you
Credit window 12 months from the date each grant is issued, with no extension published
Plan restriction Credits work on the Pay As You Go plan only, so they cannot be spent at Deepgram’s cheaper Growth rates
Order of spend The $200 credit every new account gets at signup is consumed first, then the programme credits start drawing down
Decision time About one week. Credits appear in the console 24 to 48 hours after acceptance
Who qualifies An AI builder or early-stage startup, in production or planning to launch within the next six months
Excluded Agencies & consultants building on behalf of clients

What you get

One balance, spendable across everything Deepgram sells, plus the parts of the programme that are not credits at all.

  • Credits across the whole platform. Nova-3 speech-to-text, Aura text-to-speech & the Voice Agent API all draw down the same balance, so you can change what you are building without reapplying.
  • Twelve months per grant, counted from the day it is issued rather than from first use.
  • Team seats cost nothing. Deepgram bills by usage instead of by user, so adding engineers does not raise the bill.
  • The startup community: invite-only events, engineering support groups & a direct line to people who work on the models.
  • Enterprise platform terms from day one. Deepgram publishes 99.5% accuracy, streaming latency under 200ms, SOC 2, PCI, GDPR & HIPAA compliance, and 50+ languages. None of that is gated behind the paid tiers.
  • $200 before you apply to anything. Every new Deepgram account gets it automatically, which is enough to prove your pipeline works before you ask for a grant.

What founders use it for

Voice is one of the few product costs that scales with every single conversation, which is what makes credits here worth more than the equivalent cash elsewhere.

Voice agents that answer the phone. The Voice Agent API is the most expensive thing on the price list at $0.075 a minute, so it is also where credits buy the most breathing room while you tune the agent.

Call analytics for sales & support. Transcribing every call is cheap per minute and brutal at volume. Credits let you run it across the whole team before you have to justify the line item.

Transcription inside your own product. Meeting notes, media tooling, medical or legal dictation. Deepgram’s pre-recorded rate is the one to model here, not the streaming rate.

Speech output & accessibility. Aura reads your product aloud, which covers both a voice interface and an accessibility requirement you may already owe an enterprise buyer.

The two numbers, and how to land on the higher one

Deepgram publishes both figures on the same page, and the smaller one is easy to miss because it sits inside a collapsed FAQ. It is the more useful number.

What Deepgram says Its programme FAQ states that for direct applicants the starter offer begins at $1,000 in credits, with opportunities to upgrade to tiers worth up to $100,000 as you grow and deepen your product usage. So $100,000 is the top of a ladder rather than the opening offer.
What moves the number Three things, in Deepgram’s own words: your company stage, how you plan to use Deepgram, and whether you were referred through one of its partners.
The partner route Deepgram says it has active partnerships with venture firms, accelerators & startup networks that provide enhanced offers to their portfolios, and that where such a partnership exists the specific offer is listed on that partner’s perks page.
Where this listing sits Deepgram publishes the $100,000 ceiling itself, which is where this listing sets it. InnMind is not a Deepgram programme partner as of July 2026 and cannot hand you a referral code or a preset tier, so applying from here puts you on the standard application and Deepgram decides the amount. If that changes, this page changes with it.
The honest read Plan around $1,000 and argue your way up. The use-case field is the one that does the arguing, because it is the only place you get to show that a bigger grant would actually be spent.

What the credits actually buy

Deepgram publishes its prices and it publishes the credit ceiling, and it never multiplies the two together. Here is that arithmetic, at the pay-as-you-go rates the credits are restricted to.

Real-time transcription Nova-3 monolingual streaming at $0.0048 a minute. $1,000 is about 3,470 hours of audio; $100,000 is about 347,000 hours
Pre-recorded transcription Nova-3 monolingual at $0.0077 a minute. $1,000 is about 2,160 hours; $100,000 is about 216,000 hours
Voice agents Voice Agent API, standard tier, at $0.075 a minute. $1,000 is about 222 hours of conversation; $100,000 is about 22,200 hours
Speech synthesis Aura-2 at $0.030 per 1,000 characters. $1,000 is about 33 million characters; $100,000 is about 3.3 billion
Source of the maths Ours, from Deepgram’s published pay-as-you-go price list in July 2026. Multilingual models cost more per minute, so model your own mix before you quote a runway to anyone

The conditions that sit outside the headline

All of these are in Deepgram’s own programme terms. None of them appear in the write-ups that quote the $100,000.

Pay As You Go only The terms state that promotional credits may only be used on the Pay As You Go plan. Deepgram’s Growth plan prices monolingual streaming at $0.0042 a minute against $0.0048 on pay-as-you-go, so a dollar of credit buys about 12.5% fewer minutes than a dollar prepaid on Growth. Free credit is still better than cheap credit, but it does mean the programme and the discounted plan are two different decisions.
Your $200 goes first Programme credits can only be used once the standard signup credits are exhausted. Practically, that is a small head start rather than an extra $200 on top.
The logo licence is perpetual You grant Deepgram a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use your company name, website, logo & marks to identify you as a programme participant in its marketing, including its website, social channels, presentations & emails. Other programmes in this catalogue ask for a badge on your site for a year. This one runs the other way and does not expire.
Tied to the project Credits attach to a Deepgram project rather than to a user, and they are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-sellable and cannot be shared or gifted. They have no cash value and cannot be refunded.
Amount & timing are discretionary Deepgram states that credits are issued at its sole discretion, including how much and when, and that it can change, suspend or end the programme or your place in it. Credits are for building your own product, not for evaluating a competitor.

Who is eligible

Stage An AI builder or early-stage startup. The application asks for your latest round, with options from bootstrapped through Series C or later.
Product readiness In production, or planning to launch within the next six months. This is the criterion most likely to send an application back.
Team size The form offers bands from 1 to 10 employees up to 101 to 500, so headcount is a question rather than a hard cut-off.
Account An active Deepgram account is required to apply, and you need your Project ID during the application. Create the account first.
Raised over $10M Deepgram reviews these case by case and says to apply anyway if you are still early in your voice AI work.
Existing customers Can apply. Deepgram reviews every application individually, so already paying for Deepgram is not a disqualifier.
Community Deepgram asks for a commitment to build actively & engage with its startup community, which is a soft criterion but a stated one.
Excluded Agencies & consultants building on behalf of clients. Deepgram points them at its sales team instead.
InnMind plan Free with any InnMind account. No paid membership needed for this one.

How to claim it

  1. Create a free InnMind account, or sign in if you already have one.
  2. Create the Deepgram account first and keep your Project ID to hand. You cannot apply without an active account, and the $200 signup credit is yours the moment you have one.
  3. Open this deal in the InnMind app and click Access Perk to reach the Deepgram application.
  4. Fill in the company section: employee band, whether you have incorporated, and your latest round.
  5. Write the use case properly. This is the field that sets your tier. Deepgram says the amount depends on how you plan to use it, so describe the workload: what you are transcribing or synthesising, at roughly what monthly volume, and on what timeline. A number beats an adjective here.
  6. Name your referral route if you have one, since Deepgram lists it as one of the three things that move the number.
  7. Wait about a week for the decision. Credits land in the console 24 to 48 hours after acceptance.
  8. Spend the $200 signup credit first, because the grant only starts drawing down after it is gone. Then put the 12-month expiry in a calendar on the day the credits arrive.

Terms worth knowing

This deal is Deepgram for Startups, run by Deepgram, Inc. Every figure and condition on this page comes from Deepgram’s own pages as published in July 2026: the programme page and its FAQ, the Startup Program Terms of Service, and the public price list. From those sources: up to $100,000 in credits over 12 months; a starter offer beginning at $1,000 for direct applicants, with upgrades to higher tiers as usage grows; an amount that depends on company stage, planned usage and whether a partner referred the applicant; enhanced offers for the portfolios of partner venture firms, accelerators and startup networks, listed on the partner’s own perks page; eligibility as an AI builder or early-stage startup, in production or launching within six months, committed to engaging with the community, holding an active Deepgram account; case-by-case review for companies that have raised more than $10M and for existing Deepgram customers; exclusion of agencies and consultants building for clients; a decision typically within one week and credits deposited within 24 to 48 hours of acceptance; $200 in promotional credits on signup for every new account; and credits that expire 12 months from issue, may be used only on the Pay As You Go plan, only after the standard signup credits are consumed, are tied to the project rather than to a user, are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-sellable, carry no cash value, and are issued at Deepgram’s sole discretion as to amount and timing. Participants grant Deepgram a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use their company name, website, logo and marks to identify them as a programme participant in Deepgram’s marketing. Deepgram may change, suspend or terminate the programme or a participant’s place in it. Usage figures on this page are our own arithmetic from Deepgram’s published pay-as-you-go rates and are illustrative rather than a quote. Claiming needs a free InnMind account. Acceptance is at Deepgram’s discretion. Deal details verified July 2026.

Questions founders ask

How much does Deepgram actually give a startup?

Deepgram publishes a starter offer beginning at $1,000 in credits for a direct applicant, with tiers that reach up to $100,000 over 12 months. The amount depends on your stage, how you plan to use Deepgram and whether a partner referred you, and it is decided one application at a time.

Is there a Deepgram promo code or discount code?

There is no code to type. Every new Deepgram account receives $200 in promotional credits automatically at signup, and Startup Program credits are deposited into your project by Deepgram within 24 to 48 hours of acceptance.

How long do Deepgram startup credits last?

Each grant expires 12 months from the day it is issued, and Deepgram publishes no extension. Anything unspent is simply gone, and the credits have no cash value.

Can the credits be used on the cheaper Growth plan?

No. The programme terms say promotional credits may only be used on the Pay As You Go plan. Growth prices monolingual streaming at $0.0042 a minute against $0.0048 on pay-as-you-go, so a dollar of credit buys about 12.5% fewer minutes than a dollar prepaid on Growth.

What does $100,000 in Deepgram credits actually buy?

At the published pay-as-you-go rates it is roughly 347,000 hours of real-time monolingual transcription at $0.0048 a minute, or about 22,200 hours of Voice Agent conversation at $0.075 a minute, or about 3.3 billion characters of Aura-2 speech at $0.030 per thousand. That arithmetic is ours, not Deepgram’s.

Can a startup that has raised more than $10M apply?

Yes. Deepgram reviews those applications case by case and says to apply anyway and explain the situation if you are still early in your voice AI work.

Can an agency or a consultancy apply?

No. The programme is for startups building their own voice AI product. Deepgram directs agencies to its sales team for partnership options instead.

Do I need a paid InnMind plan to claim it?

No. Deepgram is free with any InnMind account, and a free account also opens the rest of the startup deals catalogue.
