What you get

The plan is a working support desk for a small team, with the AI agent handling the first pass. Nothing here is a trial tier.

  • 93% off year one on the helpdesk, which brings it to $33 a month at the entry point.
  • A year of Fin AI Agent, the part founders actually want: 300 resolved conversations a month before you pay for one.
  • Seats for a real team: 2 Advanced, 2 Copilot & 20 Lite, so support, engineering & founders can all be in the same inbox.
  • Proactive Support Plus at 500 outbound messages a month, plus 1,000 Pro conversations analysed for AI insights.
  • The discount covers most overage too. Email, extra seats beyond 2, messages beyond 500 & Pro conversations beyond 1,000 are all billed at the discounted rate.

What founders use it for

Four jobs, and the reason this deal is worth more to some products than to others.

Deflecting the first wave of support. Fin answers from your help centre and docs. The 300 free outcomes a month are the ceiling to plan against, because outcome 301 costs full price.

Onboarding & activation messaging. Proactive Support Plus sends the in-product nudges that decide whether a new signup ever reaches value.

Qualifying inbound leads. Fin can score a visitor against your sales criteria and route them onward. 15 of those a month are included, and they are metered separately from support.

Looking bigger than you are. A staffed-looking help experience on a two-person team is the honest reason most founders buy this early.

What the 93% does not cover

This is the part that decides whether the deal is cheap or expensive for you, and it is buried in Intercom’s FAQ rather than on the pricing card.

Extra Fin outcomes Beyond the 300 a month, every outcome is $0.99 at full list price. The discount does not touch it. A product handling 1,000 resolutions a month pays about $693 a month on top of the plan.
Extra qualifications Beyond 15 a month, $9.99 each at list price. If Fin is doing sales qualification at any volume, this line grows faster than the support one.
Phone, SMS & WhatsApp Charged at list price at every tier of the programme, in all three years.
What an outcome means Intercom counts three things as an outcome: a resolution where no further help is requested, a procedure that hands off to a human, and a disqualified lead. Handing a conversation to a person still counts.
What the discount does cover Email, Pro conversations over 1,000 a month, messages sent over 500 a month & additional seats over 2. Those are all discounted, which is the genuinely generous half of this.

Read it this way: the plan is cheap and the meter is not. Estimate your monthly resolved conversations before you sign, because that single number decides the bill.

The three-year taper, and the catch inside it

Intercom publishes all three years, which is more honest than most programmes. The condition attached to years two and three is the part worth reading twice.

Year one 93% off, 300 Fin outcomes & 15 qualifications a month
Year two 50% off, 150 Fin outcomes & 15 qualifications a month. The free allowance halves, so the same support volume starts costing about $150 a month more at list
Year three 25% off, 75 Fin outcomes & 15 qualifications a month
The catch Years two and three are reserved for customers who stay on the programme. Intercom states that moving to a self-serve or sales-led plan forfeits those savings. So switching plans once, even upward, ends the taper.
If it gets too expensive Intercom names the exit itself: the Essential plan from $39 per seat per month. Worth pricing that against your year-two number before you renew.

Who is eligible

Funding Up to $10,000,000 raised. Bootstrapped teams qualify, since this is a ceiling rather than a requirement to have raised.
Team size Fewer than 15 employees. Intercom states plainly that above that you are not eligible and should use a normal free trial instead.
New customer Not currently an Intercom customer.
All three The conditions are cumulative. A 20-person team that has raised nothing is out, and so is a 4-person team that has raised $12M.
InnMind plan Included with InnMind Premium.
Decision Intercom reviews the application. Acceptance is not guaranteed by having an InnMind account.

How to claim it

  1. Sign in to InnMind. This deal needs a Premium membership, so upgrade first if you are on the free plan.
  2. Check the three conditions before you spend time on the form: under $10M raised, under 15 employees, and no existing Intercom account.
  3. Open this deal in the InnMind app and click Access Perk, then apply on Intercom’s Early Stage form.
  4. Work out your monthly resolved conversations first. Under 300 and this deal is close to free. Well over 300 and the Fin meter, not the plan, is your real bill.
  5. Put a reminder in month ten. Year two moves you to 50% off with half the Fin allowance, and that is the point to decide whether to stay on the programme or move to Essential.

Terms worth knowing

This deal is the Intercom Early Stage Startup Program, run by Intercom, and every figure on this page comes from that page as published in July 2026: 93% off in year one with Fin AI Agent free, 50% in year two, 25% in year three, the helpdesk from $33 a month, an included plan of 2 Advanced seats, 2 Copilot seats, 20 Lite seats, Proactive Support Plus at 500 messages a month and 1,000 Pro conversations analysed a month, a free Fin allowance of 300 outcomes and 15 qualifications a month in year one, and Fin list pricing of $0.99 per outcome and $9.99 per qualification. Intercom states that the discount applies to usage costs for email, Pro conversations over 1,000 a month, messages over 500 a month and seats over 2, and that it does not apply to additional outcomes or qualifications, phone, SMS or WhatsApp. Eligibility is up to $10M raised, fewer than 15 employees and not being a current Intercom customer. Intercom also states that the year two and year three discounts are reserved for customers who stay on the programme, and that switching to a self-serve or sales-led plan forfeits them. The dollar totals for the Fin allowance on this page are our arithmetic from Intercom’s published prices and are not published by Intercom. Acceptance is at Intercom’s discretion. Questions founders ask

How much is the Intercom Early Stage discount?

93% off in your first year, with the Fin AI Agent free for the same year. The helpdesk starts at $33 a month at that rate. The discount then steps down to 50% in year two and 25% in year three.

What happens after the first year?

You move to 50% off, and the free Fin allowance halves from 300 outcomes a month to 150. Year three is 25% off with 75 outcomes. Intercom states that both of those later discounts are only for customers who stay on the programme, so switching to a self-serve or sales-led plan forfeits them.

What is included in the Early Stage plan?

2 Advanced seats, 2 Copilot seats, 20 Lite seats, Proactive Support Plus at 500 messages a month, 1,000 Pro conversations analysed a month, and a year of Fin with 300 outcomes and 15 lead qualifications a month.

What does the 93% discount not cover?

Fin outcomes beyond the included 300 a month, qualifications beyond 15 a month, and phone, SMS and WhatsApp. All of those are billed at full list price. The discount does cover email, extra seats, extra messages and extra Pro conversations.

How much does Fin AI Agent cost per outcome?

$0.99 per outcome and $9.99 per qualification at list price. Intercom counts three things as an outcome: a resolution where no further help is requested, a procedure that hands off to a human, and a disqualified lead. At those prices the included allowance is worth roughly $5,300 over the first year, which is our sum rather than an Intercom figure.

Who qualifies for Intercom Early Stage?

Startups that have raised up to $10M, have fewer than 15 employees, and are not already Intercom customers. All three conditions apply together. Above 15 employees Intercom says you are not eligible and points you at a normal free trial.

Do I need InnMind Premium to claim it?

Yes. Intercom is one of the Premium deals. A free InnMind account still opens the rest of the catalogue.
