Up to $5,000 in Covalent GoldRush API credits, valid for 12 months
Claim this deal →Browse all startup deals →
At list price that is more than a year on the plan most production teams buy. GoldRush Professional runs at $250 a month, so twelve months of it costs $3,000 and leaves about $2,000 of the credit for overage, which is roughly 2.6 million flex credits at Covalent’s published rate. That sum is ours, from Covalent’s price list.
Deal at a glance

|---|---|
| Offer | Up to $5,000 in premium API credits for projects that apply through InnMind |

| What $5,000 buys | About 20 months of the $250 per month Professional plan at list price, or roughly 6.5 million flex credits at $0.00077 each. Our arithmetic from Covalent’s published prices, not a Covalent figure |

| Eligibility | Covalent publishes no funding stage, company age or revenue bar for this grant. It states what it prioritises instead: partner referrals & requests for premium credits on the Unified API |

What you get
The grant is credit against your Covalent bill, and the bill is for one API that already covers most of what a Web3 product reads from a chain.
- Up to $5,000 in credits against the plan fee and any overage, with twelve months to spend it.
- 100+ chains behind one schema, EVM and non-EVM, Solana and Bitcoin included. Balances, full transaction history with decoded event logs, NFT metadata, token prices, OHLCV candles & DEX pair analytics.
- JSON-RPC for 30+ EVM chains on the same key, so decoded data and raw RPC come from one vendor instead of two contracts.
- Built for agents. MCP support for Claude and other agents, installable agent skills that carry the credit cost of every endpoint, and x402 pay-per-request for autonomous agents.
- Priority in the queue. Covalent says partner-referred applications are prioritised, and applying through InnMind is what makes yours one.
What founders use it for
Four jobs come up repeatedly, and all four are the kind of work that quietly turns into a five-figure data bill once real users arrive.
Wallet & portfolio screens. One call returns token balances across every supported chain with USD conversion, which is the screen that otherwise takes a per-chain integration each.
Onchain AI agents. Agents burn requests fast because they poll. Credit-priced endpoints plus MCP support mean the agent can read balances and transactions without you writing an adapter first.
Charts & token analytics. OHLCV candles across DEXs with volume and liquidity, so a trading view or a backtest does not need its own indexer.
Tax, accounting & compliance exports. Decoded transaction history with token transfers and approvals is the raw material for a tax report or an audit trail.
What Covalent publishes, and what it does not
This one is worth reading before you spend an afternoon on the application, because the programme is unusually quiet for a grant of this size.
| There is no public grants page | Neither covalenthq.com nor goldrush.dev links to this programme. The application form is the programme, and the terms document the form points to was offline when we checked in July 2026. So the numbers here come from two places: Covalent’s own form, and InnMind’s arrangement with Covalent. |
|---|---|
| The brand you apply to is not the brand you use | You apply to Covalent. The product you get an API key for is GoldRush, which is what Covalent renamed its Unified API to. Same company, same data, two names in the docs and in your invoice. |
| Covalent calls it a beta | The form says the programme is in beta and warns of hiccups in vetting, review and administration. Treat the timeline as unknown rather than assuming a fixed decision window. |
| A short request beats a long one | Covalent states that concise applications get higher priority and faster turnaround, and that requests for premium Unified API credits are answered first. Ask for credits on the API you actually plan to call, and say what you will build with them in a paragraph. |
The free trial is 25,000 credits for 14 days, which is enough to see whether the data shape fits your product but nowhere near enough to run one. That gap is what the grant is for.
Who is eligible
| Product | Anything that reads onchain data. Covalent names AI built on onchain data, games and NFT dashboards, then says “everything in between”. |
|---|---|
| Funding stage | Not stated. Covalent publishes no VC, revenue or company-age requirement for this grant, which puts bootstrapped teams in scope. |
| Referral | Not required, but it changes your position. Applications referred by verified partners are prioritised, and InnMind is the reference you name on the form. |
| What you ask for | Premium credits on the Unified API get the quickest follow-up. Other requests are still reviewed, just later in the queue. |
| InnMind plan | Free with any InnMind account. No paid membership needed for this one. |
| Decision | Covalent reviews every application and accepts some of them. Acceptance is not guaranteed by having an InnMind account. |
How to claim it
- Create a free InnMind account, or sign in if you already have one.
- Open this deal in the InnMind app and click Access Perk. That opens Covalent’s own grant application form.
- Put InnMind in the reference field. This is the step that moves you into the prioritised queue, and it is the one applicants skip.
- Say what you are building and which endpoints you need, in a paragraph rather than a page. Covalent states plainly that concise requests are answered faster.
- Ask for premium credits on the Unified API if that is what you will actually call. Those requests get the quickest follow-up.
- Wait for Covalent’s decision. The programme is in beta, so there is no published turnaround time.
Terms worth knowing
This deal is the Covalent Grants programme, run by Covalent and applied for through Covalent’s own application form, which this deal opens once you access it in the InnMind app. Covalent describes the programme as being in beta, states that applicants can receive up to $25,000 in support, and sets the amount per application. The figure of up to $5,000 in premium credits covering the plan fee and overage for 12 months is the tier attached to applying through InnMind, and it comes from InnMind’s arrangement with Covalent rather than from a public Covalent page. Covalent publishes no grants page on covalenthq.com or goldrush.dev, and the terms document linked from its own form was offline in July 2026. Prices quoted on this page are GoldRush list prices as published at goldrush.dev/pricing in July 2026: $250 per month for Professional with 300,000 included credits, $0.00077 per flex credit, and a 14-day trial with 25,000 credits. The conversions from dollars into months and credits are our arithmetic from those prices and are not published by Covalent. Acceptance is at Covalent’s discretion and is not guaranteed by an InnMind account. Claiming needs a free InnMind account. Deal details verified July 2026.
Questions founders ask
How much is the Covalent grant worth?
Up to $5,000 in premium API credits over 12 months for projects applying through InnMind, covering the plan fee and any overage. Covalent’s own application form states a wider ceiling of up to $25,000 in support, with the amount decided per application.
What is the difference between Covalent and GoldRush?
Covalent is the company, GoldRush is the product. GoldRush is the current name for what Covalent used to call its Unified API. You apply to Covalent for the grant and you build against GoldRush, which is why the two names appear side by side in the docs.
How much GoldRush usage does $5,000 buy?
At list prices it is about 20 months of the Professional plan, which is $250 a month and includes 300,000 credits a month. Inside a 12-month window that is a full year of Professional for $3,000 with roughly $2,000 left for overage, which is about 2.6 million flex credits at $0.00077 each. Covalent does not publish these conversions; they follow from its own price list.
Do I need to be venture backed to apply?
No. Covalent publishes no funding stage, revenue or company age requirement for this grant. What it does publish is what it prioritises: applications referred by verified partners, and requests for premium credits on the Unified API.
Which chains does the GoldRush API cover?
Over 100, EVM and non-EVM, including Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Base, Optimism, Solana and Bitcoin. Balances, transaction history, NFT metadata, prices and OHLCV come back in one schema, and JSON-RPC is available for 30+ EVM chains on the same key.
Is every application accepted?
No. Covalent reviews every application and states that not all of them are accepted. It also describes the programme as being in beta, so there is no published decision timeline to plan around.
Do I need a paid InnMind plan to claim it?
No. Covalent is free with any InnMind account, and a free account also opens the rest of the startup deals catalogue.
